First Call 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathons

Get the year started off right with a super fast and flat course. Wait, not one 1/2 marathon course but two 1/2 marathon courses. That's right. The First Call will have two 1/2 marathon courses to chose from. Both start and finish at the same location but only share 0.17 miles of a course.
Run the flat and fast out and back Glacial Drumlin trail for an early year PR OR run the scenic Fox River Trail course. We will have awards for each 1/2 marathon and awards for the 1/2 marathons combined. Yep you might be that super speedy gal in first place, but you won't know until you hit the last 0.17 miles if the leader on the other course is in front of you or not.
The course starts at the EB Shurts Environmental Education Center. After a short distance, runners will enter the Glacial Drumlin Trail for an out and back course. The trail is wide and paved with very little elevation change. From mile 2.6 until the turn around there is a slight, gradual grade increase. Make the turn and it's all downhill from there.
Fox River Trail
The Fox River Trail is a beautiful course that heads south of town on paths and boardwalks. It traverses through the city, wetlands, forests, the Fox River Park and even crosses a wooden path into a neighborhood before turning back. No trains on this course but it is curvy and not as fast as the Glacial Drumlin.
5K
The 5K course will use the Fox River Trail. This is a fast out and back with no street crossings or other things to slow you down!. A super fast out and back. Course map.
10K
The 10K course will use the Glacial Drumlin Trail. A fast out and back!

The road in front of the EB
Shurts
building will be closed. After a short road run (0.17 miles), you will enter the trail. Please be careful as there is a step up onto the curb before entering the path (see map). The finish line will be on the path near the start line but NOT on the road. When finishing, stay on the path until finishing under the finish line banner. ALL races use the same start and finish line.
Aid Stations
Water and sports drinks are available every 1.5 miles and the finish line. Restrooms are available at start/finish and on the course.

If you plan on registering race day, please download the race day registration form and bring it with you. Tshirts and medals may not be available for race day registrations.
West Collage Avenue will be closed between S. Prairie Drive & Phillip Drive. Parking is available in the EB Shurts lot, Saratoga Park lot and Phillip Drive. There is no parking along West Collage Avenue or S. Prairie Drive.

The same will be available for the half marathons. Both half's will be timed separately and awards presented. We will ALSO combined both of the halfs and give overall awards for male & female to the first 5 finishers.
ALL finishers will receive a custom First Call finisher medal.
Overall male and female 1/2 marathon winners will receive a free entry into the Wisconsin Trail Assail Series!

Weather / Refund Policy
The event will be held rain, shine, snow or sleet unless severe weather occurs. In the event of severe weather, the race director may delay or cancel the event. If the event is canceled, there will be NO refunds. Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC has a NO REFUND policy for any reason.
Volunteers
We need volunteers for everything from goody bag stuffing to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance.
